Braintree Local Plan Consultation Deadline Approaching Soon

The council is updating its Local Plan. This plan directs development and finds future sites. The government wants 1,115 new homes each year. The plan puts them in good spots with what they need.

This update explains development problems and chances. The council wants feedback on key topics, including homes, jobs, transport, and the environment, as well as input on community necessities.

You can share your thoughts until March 7th at midnight using the council’s online platform. Paper copies are available at the council offices and local libraries.

Over 100 people attended seven info sessions to learn more about the plan. The council values feedback from residents because it shapes a plan that reflects local needs.

Please respond to the survey if you haven’t, to ensure your opinion helps shape future growth priorities. This development covers the next 15 years and beyond. The council will use all feedback to inform the draft Local Plan document, consulting on this document later in 2025.
