Local friends topped last year’s generous donation, raising £22,847 for Movember and mens health initiatives during 2024.

The friends continued fundraising all year. Ryan Wilson is a group spokesman. He talked about their events after darts. They had the annual Movember Cup. It is a 6-a-side football tournament. This happened at Bridlington CYP in August.
Next was another darts night. It was a doubles tournament at The Brunswick Hotel. Will and Tom Coates joined in. They are a father and son team. They ran in the Great North Run. This added over £1,000 to their total.
Cory Walkington and Ryan went on a podcast. It was called The Overlap, and it was for Movember. They met football legends on the show. Ian Wright, Jamie Carragher, Shaun Wright-Phillips were there. Aaron Lennon also shared his story. It was about personal struggles.
November 1st arrived quickly. Out came shaving foam and razors! All month they grew moustaches. They also did impressive exercise challenges. Adam, Cammy, Eugene, Frankie and Harry climbed three peaks. They did it in less than 24 hours. Then, they held Arnie’s Whitby to Bridlington run. They also had a pool tournament. They called it “Mo Pool”.
Joe and Mitch ran a long distance. This happened at the month’s end. The run was 117km. They started in Leeds, at Elland Road. They ran all the way back home. They finished in Bridlington. It took under 24 hours. They raised £4,800 for Movember.
Ryan thanked everyone for their support. They raised £22,847 this year. His team has raised over £50,000 total. The money helps Movember fund projects. They want to ensure men live healthier lives. He appreciates all donations and encouragement. He appreciates event attendance and sponsorships.
