Bridlington roads get some improvements soon. The final part of the project starts in March. The council is investing £1.6 million. They will fix several roads in town. The last phase focuses on Flamborough Road.

The project began in September 2024. Crews already fixed several areas. They worked on the Scarborough Road roundabout, Cliff Road, and Sandsacre Road. Clarence Road and Albert Street also got fixed. Plus, they improved St Stephen, Thomas, and Andrew Roads. Travis Road is complete. North Road comes after cable work.

Flamborough Road work starts on March 10 and should take three weeks. The road and parking bays get fixed. Work happens in three stages: starting at Promenade and Trinity Road, and ending by The Seabirds pub. Work hours are 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM; this avoids the busiest times.

Side roads close sometimes to manage traffic safely. Closures happen only during work hours, and diversion routes will guide drivers. Expect traffic delays during work. Try using other routes if possible to avoid getting stuck.

Footpaths also get some TLC. Sandsacre Road gets footpath work. They’ll seal paths on Clarence Road, Travis Street, St Stephen, Thomas, and Andrew Roads. Thomas Bow is the contractor for the council, and these fixes will make paths last longer.
