A British man is in hot water in Bali, facing execution for allegedly smuggling MDMA into the country. He was arrested in January.

Parker appeared in front of media on Thursday. He wore an orange jumpsuit and handcuffs. Police saw him get a package from a man on a motorcycle on January 21.
He panicked and dropped the package. He then tried to run away. Police found MDMA inside the package. They located Parker’s villa in North Kuta. He has been in custody since then.
Officials charged him with drug offenses, including importation, trafficking, and possession. If convicted, he could face execution. Authorities want to know who sent the drugs.
A police official said they took Parker for investigation. Parker claimed he worked for an international ring and that his boss told him to get the package, which contained the drugs.
Indonesia has strict drug laws. In 2024, some “Bali Nine” members were freed. They tried smuggling heroin in 2005. Also, some Brits were arrested last month and allegedly smuggled cocaine. Last year, nine tourists got arrested at a drug party.
