A 23 year old British woman was found dead in Texas. She was shot in the chest per authorities. Homicide investigation underway.
Lucy was shot in the chest, authorities in Texas confirmed. Another person shot her, they said. The medical examiner found no drugs or alcohol in her system. Mail Online reports they are treating it as homicide.
Lucy and her boyfriend went to the US after Christmas for a family trip. They planned to return to Manchester the next day, which was the day after Lucy died. Police say there was an “incident” at her father’s home.
Lucy’s mom and boyfriend shared memories, remembering the Manchester student. They described her as vibrant and fearless, saying she loved deeply and was deeply loved. She enjoyed travel and cozy nights at home.
Her funeral is on February 24 at 12:30 pm at St Elphin’s Parish Church. The family requests donations to Peace & Mind UK, a Warrington charity started by Brianna Ghey’s mom.
