Scout group marks new kitchen opening with ribbon cutting. The hall helps over 200 young people.

The hall now boasts many new features, including a kitchen, meeting rooms, and offices. They also improved storage spaces, and a display showcases the group’s history.
Volunteers and tradespeople worked hard on these updates, which were also supported by community grants. Broadstone Scouting started in 1907, making the troop one of the very first.
Dom Willmore spoke about how the new space helps over 200 young people. It serves as a center for scouting activities, and they also marked the hall’s 30th anniversary.
A young Beaver, Toby, only five years old, had the honor of cutting the ribbon. Community members, volunteers, special guests, and Millie Earl attended the event.
Broadstone Scouts is a large presence in Poole, Dorset, offering adventure and learning to kids. With over 230 young members, volunteers teach them valuable skills.
Dom said Scouts teach skills for life and aim for kids to do, learn, and be more. The hall will help them teach these skills, and members saw the hall January 31.
