Bromley roads may face an 18-month traffic ban starting March 2025 for 5G equipment upgrades by WHP Telecoms.

Park Avenue and Spur Road are affected. The public notice lists these areas specifically. The order starts March 3, 2025. No end date exists right now. The order lasts eighteen months, at most.
Work begins on or after the start date. The council says no waiting is allowed on those streets. This rule stays until the work is complete. If you wait there, they might remove your car.
They’ll use the 1986 vehicle regulations or their own power. Traffic is banned unless signs say it’s okay. One-way traffic is in place, using traffic signs. Detours will use local streets.
Traffic signs will show these new rules. They follow the 2016 traffic regulations. They will keep access to homes open. This access will happen from either side of the road closure.
Emergency routes will also stay open. Access will be maintained as much as possible. The order doesn’t affect work vehicles. Police officers and traffic wardens can allow other activities too.
Call 020 8461 7507 to discuss concerns. Ask the Street Services Section. Colin Brand signed the notice. He’s the environment and public protection director. 5G should make wireless networks faster.
This boost will affect the areas. The council knows traffic will be bad. But this change is needed for safe work. Plan your routes. Watch for changes to traffic rules.
The council will give updates. This will include progress and rule changes. Follow traffic signs. Be careful and patient during this work.
