Amelia, from the 3rd Burley-in-Wharfedale Brownies, completed all 18 interest badges, a rare achievement celebrated by her unit.

Ann Peacock mentioned how rare this accomplishment is. Amelia worked hard, staying very motivated; she gained new skills and boosted confidence. All the leaders are super proud, and the other Brownies think Amelia is great.
Brownies have both unit badges and interest badges. Unit badges happen during meetings, while girls complete interest badges at home, on their own. These badges let you explore your interests and improve existing skills. Maybe you’ll try something totally new. You need to do three challenges to earn an interest badge.
Brownies must finish one badge per theme to help them get theme awards. Then, they can earn bronze, silver, or gold awards. The interest badges cover many topics too; collecting, local history, and your rights are some examples. Baking, painting, and performing are also options. Other badges involve dancing and growing your own food. Mindfulness, archaeology, and aviation exist as well. Space, charities, speaking out, and zero waste are included. You could even learn about inventing, jobs, or other languages.
Amelia won’t have much time to relax just yet because more new interest badges arrive this summer season. Ann added that activity happens throughout Wharfedale, and leaders and helpers encourage girls in all sections.
