Many people faced sentencing in Buckinghamshire courts early in 2025. The Bucks Free Press covered some major cases in January.

Russell Brand, an actor and comedian, was due in court. He faced charges for driving offenses in Slough and Oxfordshire. He sped at 95mph on the M4 in June, exceeding the 70mph limit. He also drove 37mph in a 30mph zone in Shiplake in March. Brand did not attend the hearing.

The court sentenced him in his absence.

Shaun Roadnight, a violent man, broke into a Milton Keynes home. He attacked a woman returning home from behind. Roadnight and others tied the victims to a bed. They stole items from the house. He ran but someone saw him discard clothes. Police then arrested Roadnight.

Jayden Gubetini, a teen, got 29 years for murder. He killed Cameron Bailey in High Wycombe during a robbery. Bailey, from Brighton, was stabbed in the back. Gubetini had robbed Bailey of drugs the day before.

Four other men received sentences for the robbery.

Luke Barass, 23, crashed a stolen car into a bakery. This happened in Marlow. He tried to evade police. He had prior convictions for theft and violence. Barass sped at 74mph in a 30mph zone. He lost control and hit Burgers Artisan Bakery.

Ian Walker, with no fixed address, appeared in court. He was spotted interfering with cars in Chesham. Police found him with cannabis. They charged him with vehicle interference and possessing a Class B drug. CCTV showed him near a car.

Luke Morris will spend nearly ten years in prison. He was guilty of multiple rape counts. Morris also admitted to coercive behavior and to assault by penetration.

He changed his plea during his trial. Police said Morris abused and controlled the victim.
