A thief’s “Mission Impossible” attempt to enter a Sainsbury’s store via the ceiling hilariously failed in Nottingham.

The guy tried to get in through the ceiling. CCTV showed his feet dangling down. He got stuck and started kicking his legs. Groceries fell off the shelves nearby because of this. Eventually, he crashed through the ceiling panel and landed in a heap on the floor.
He wore black pants and a blue shirt. A black hooded coat covered his body. Next, he walked around the store with a bag. He stole lottery scratch cards worth about £200. He exited through a fire exit shortly after.
The Sainsbury’s staff called the police quickly at 6:10 am. Officers arrived in just six minutes. They found a man matching the description nearby. They arrested the 50-year-old man for suspicion of burglary.
Inspector Liz Gaskin praised the officers. The store was closed during the incident. It didn’t impact any customers during the theft. However, the whole ordeal was alarming for the staff.
In other news, a man escaped court in South Africa. The man climbed out of a window. He was facing theft charges. He was caught again the next day.
