Blessing, rescued from woodland, nominated for Southern Rescue Animal of the Year 2025, representing 100 bunnies.

Lucky Bunny and Friends in Dudley first helped. Then, many rescues across England joined in to support these neglected animals. Blessing’s story reached them.
Blessing now lives at Hug a Bunny Hotel in Surrey, where she will stay. Hug a Bunny Hotel, located in Camberley, Surrey, took in 14 bunnies.
Seven bunnies the rescue took died. Blessing was not in good shape. However, she gave birth to four healthy babies.
Karen Dandridge runs Hug a Bunny Hotel and didn’t know about the award. She thinks Blessing deserves a happy ending. Karen traveled far to help.
Camberley is over 100 miles away from Chaddesley Corbett. It is quite a distance. Karen wanted to help the animals, stating it was horrific to see them dumped.
Karen loaded her car to get to the animals. She told her husband she’d be back. Karen’s glad Blessing got nominated and says the support has been amazing.
The Animal Star Awards ceremony happens in May when they will announce the winners.
