Hey, guess what’s happening in Burley? Mr. T’s might lose their license. They run a fast food place on Burley Road. It seems they are in trouble.

Immigration officers visited Mr. T’s. The Home Office says stuff wasn’t right. They think some employees lacked work permits. Leeds councillors meet to discuss this issue. It happens at Leeds Civic Hall on March 11.

The Home Office checked the place last September 13th. They received some tips that created suspicion. Officers found eight workers inside.

Four of them were supposedly working there illegally. This led to a huge fine. They got fined £90,000 in December last year. The council could completely revoke Mr. T’s license now.

TMR Leeds Ltd. runs the takeaway. They are in a difficult position now. Right now, they can serve food until 3:30 AM daily.

The Home Office isn’t happy with them. Fines or suspensions won’t cut it, they claim. The Home Office believes Mr. T’s broke some rules. They haven’t prevented crime, it seems. So, they are pushing for taking away the license.
