Bury Drop In celebrates its 10th anniversary, reflecting on a decade of aid to the vulnerable in Bury St Edmunds.

It’s been 10 years since they started. The group began at Trinity Methodist Church. They helped just two people at first. Fifteen volunteers assisted them then.
Now, Bury Drop In helps many more folks. They focus on individual needs of people. They offer dental care and stop-smoking help. A support group also spun off from them.
They now serve about 50 people each time. Robert Green is the head of the charity. He recalls humble beginnings for them. They continue to help vulnerable neighbors. The charity’s team will meet soon.
They will plan anniversary events. Celebrations will happen in September this year. Ally Gill said this year is special. They will share stories from guests, and volunteers, too. A webpage and scrapbook will share memories as well. You can share memories by emailing Ally.
