Caerphilly Drug Dealer Gets Nearly 4 Years Behind Bars
Police arrested Williams because of a phone call. This call led to a home raid, which happened at his house. Pamela Kaiga told the court about the raid. Police found drugs and drug tools, including a burner phone.
Officers found 77.5 grams of amphetamine and 251.27 grams of cannabis inside. The cannabis was worth about £3000. Police also found other drug-related items, like bags, cocaine, MDMA, lights, scales, and compost.
Williams had no prior convictions, but he got a caution in 2017 for supplying amphetamine. Officials viewed Williams’ role as “significant”. They also said he made good money.
Ed Mitchard defended Williams in court. He said things went wrong for him when his father went to prison for fraud for one month. Williams and his siblings entered care. They left their parents for four years.
Mitchard said Williams had learning issues. Brothers verbally and physically abused him and blamed him for their mother’s death in 2022 under his care. He has been homeless and struggled with abuse. Probation says alcohol is his main problem.
Judge Paul Lewis commented on the case, stating that Williams lied to probation workers. Williams claimed he bought drugs for himself and would share them with friends.
Judge Lewis then sentenced Williams to 40 months in prison. He has to serve 40 percent of his term before being released on licence.
