Celebrate the Corn Exchanges 150th with a free family activity day during February half-term. Explore shows and workshops!

Families can check out this cool venue and explore behind the scenes. They will share its history, and it’s a chance to get creative too.
It’s on Monday, February 17th, from 10 AM to 4 PM. They promise free stuff for kids, live shows, and cool experiences are also planned; however, some events need booking.
You can book dance and drama workshops that run twice each day. Technical workshops are available too, and guided tours happen four times that day.
In dance workshops, kids learn fun dance moves covering different eras. Drama workshops explore performance art, and creative expression will be highlighted.
Technical workshops teach about event production, and adults and kids can touch stuff. Guided tours show the Corn Exchange’s history, and you even get backstage access.
Students from Anglia Ruskin University organized this in partnership with the Corn Exchange team. This ensures it will be a smooth and fun experience.
There are also drop-in activities, including arts and crafts. A building block area sounds interesting, and you can add an item to a time capsule, too.
Stalls recreate its farmers’ market past and sell unique items. This recalls the venue’s original agricultural connection.
Garden House gives out free treats and provides 20% off vouchers. Market House does a food showcase, and you can expect samples and dumpling/sushi workshops.
Musicians will play music from different decades, spanning from the 1960s until now. Storytelling sessions will also occur live.
The National Lottery Heritage Fund helps support the event, as does Cambridge BID.
