Two Parkside police officers dismissed for gross misconduct: false evidence and discriminatory online comments.

One officer, Kayleigh Rocca, gave false evidence. The incident happened in a court trial. She worked at Parkside Police Station. Her actions were deemed gross misconduct. This breached standards of honesty and hurt the police’s reputation.
The court case was dismissed because of her misleading act. Rocca panicked during her first Crown court trial. Despite this, the investigator decided the mitigation was limited. Public trust in police is very important.
Another officer, Greg Langham, also got fired. Langham made discriminatory comments online. He posted racist and offensive remarks between October 2023 and June 2024. His actions counted as gross misconduct.
Langham’s comments concerned gender and disability. He also made discriminatory comments about race and religion. His behavior damaged the police’s reputation. The police expect fairness and impartiality.
Chief Constable Nick Dean dismissed both officers without notice. Langham will be on the College of Policing’s barred list. Dean stated Langham should have known better as his comments were simply unacceptable.
