Awards at Delta Hotel celebrate Cambs firefighters’ dedication and long service. Sponsors included TruckEast and Scania.

Cambridgeshire firefighters got awards recently. The awards recognized their hard work. The Delta Hotel hosted the event last month. Staff accomplishments got recognized during that year. Workers with 20+ years of service got honored too.

Chief Fire Officer Matthew Warren hosted the awards. Deputy Chief John Anderson joined him. Assistant directors Hayley Douglas plus Stuart Smith helped. Around 150 guests attended the ceremony that night. Many accolades got given to firefighters all night.

Awards included medals for long service and good conduct. There were long service presentations too. The fire authority chair gave out awards also. Excellence awards and silver axe presentations occurred. Chief Warren praised the firefighters’ dedication.

Sponsors paid all costs for the awards event. TruckEast and Scania were both sponsors. Supply Plus, Crofton Engineering and Allinson supported it. Interspiro, Emergency One, plus Hunter Apparel Solutions helped.

Tony Bird from March Fire Station received a medal. Simon Thompson got a medal too. He leads fire protection. Jeff Whitlam also won for fire protection work. Ben Anstee of Cambridge and Cottenham won.

Philip Coates from Stanground got a medal that night. Louise Halsall of Kimbolton Fire Station won one too. Christine Warren and Tirzah Warton both won. They work in combined fire control.

Tim Carr, Phil Pilbeam, and Gary Reach received presentations. All served 30 years at Wisbech Fire Station. Nicky Hoad served 20 years in Huntingdon. Nicola Smith also served 20 years there.

Ray Constant worked 30 years at Sawtry Fire Station. Graham George served at Huntingdon for 30 years. Andy Jones served at St Neots for 30 years too. Bob Smith also worked 30 years there now.

Alex Chrysanthou serves at Chatteris Fire Station. Philip Pilbeam works at Wisbech Fire Station. Both received the chair’s award. Karen Garrard and Chris Strickland won too. Both are at Huntingdon.

Nicky Hoad and Jodie Houseago managed a project. Their project won an excellence award. Clare Smith’s project team won also. Karen Gow, Carly Smith, Jack Mosley, Daisy Gooderham, Heidi Lindsay, David Kaye, and Jackie Watson were on the project.

Sarah Ribbons and Charlotte Black helped too. Matt Rossi and Sam Cox gave support also. Amanda Shepherd and Lauren Hopcraft assisted. Rob Austin won an award for his commitment.

Lily Wilkanowski won for going beyond her role. Laura Boucher and Kelly Addy won awards. Lucy Tomlinson was honored for organizing events. George Kidd was awarded for contributions to the training center.

The training center team also won an award. Paul Clarke, Odette Tattersall, plus Sharon Ward were recognized. They developed a scheme to reduce youth violence. Kathleen Bowman and PC Nick Southern also won.

Fenland District Council won a commendation. Jenny Wright of Peterborough City Council won too. Joanne Shippey won commendation for bravery. Owain Collard won the Silver Axe award.

Max Mitzman, Robin Ellis, plus Charlie Hadden won. They were stand out recruits. The Finance Team won an award for digital finance. Kathleen Bowman won for tyre safety work.

Megan Cantwell and Joshua Berrisford won an award. It celebrated partnership working. Graham Wiggins won an award for fire service contributions. Peterborough Volunteer Fire Brigade was thanked.
