Council meeting to discuss reinvesting profits from the Camrose land sale to boost local sports facilities.

Basron Developments used to own most of the land and sold 71 percent to Sovereign Housing Group. The council said they had little choice; selling looked like the only option.
The football club chairman, Jack Miller, spoke up, wanting assurance the money would go back to the club to secure a new home for future generations. Luke Murphy, the local MP, also wants the money reinvested to improve local sports, supporting what the council proposed earlier.
The council will talk about reinvesting the money at a meeting on February 27 to improve football facilities, potentially ending years of uncertainty on the site. Councillor Gavin James said Sovereign negotiated with Basron.
The council needed to figure out what to do with the land, as it was too small for using it alone for football. The council wants to support local sports, so they are proposing to reinvest the sale money to help improve football facilities in the town, showing they care about sports clubs.
