Escape Hunt, CHEC eye clinic to open in Riverside Complex. Final unit discussions underway after slow lease uptake.

Remember it cost a lot, like £23 million from taxes? They struggled finding businesses to fill all twelve spots, blaming slow market conditions for the delay. But things look like they will be improving very soon.
Now, two new places rented space, and a third is talking about moving in. Escape Hunt is taking over Riverside Social’s old spot. It’s run by the folks from Boom Battle Bar.
Escape Hunt should be ready by Easter, offering cool escape room games. CHEC, a health place for eyes, is coming too, next to the Curzon cinema. They hope to open by Easter as well.
They are likely getting a new restaurant for the last empty spot. Heavenly Desserts had a fire last year and are still talking to the insurance company, hoping to fix the place soon.
Black Sheep Coffee also has a spot and are still fixing it up. The Riverside folks want it to become a great spot for tourists. Things weren’t going well back in 2023, and they missed out on rent money.
