Capelli&Co is a finalist in the Telegraph & Argus “Best Hairdresser” contest, after thriving since 2021.

Paula Butler opened Capelli&Co in Eccleshill back in June 2021. She had rented a salon chair before starting the business. It was a scary move for her, but it really paid off. Capelli&Co has enjoyed success these past four years, growing so much that they needed a bigger place.
They recently moved to a larger location on Harrogate Road, near the Silwood Drive junction. Paula sought a bigger space for two years. She finally found the perfect spot last October, got the keys in December, but renovating happened after Christmas because it was too busy before that.
They moved in January of 2025. The salon employs six people, including Paula. The name “Capelli” means hair in Italian. Paula is Italian and wanted to honor her grandfather.
The “Co” shows she wanted a team offering services. Capelli&Co could receive more awards soon. Paula and Courtney are finalists in the Hair and Beauty Awards 2025. Paula is among the top 50 for Best Hair Extension Specialist, and Courtney could be named Best for Blonde of the Year.
Paula felt ecstatic about this honor, feeling equally blown away to be in Bradford’s final ten. Community involvement is important at Capelli&Co salon.
For the fourth year, they put up a Christmas giving tree where people take a tag and donate gifts. These support local children and moms in need. Paula believes her salon feels special because of its welcoming atmosphere, saying no matter one’s age, sexuality, or gender, all are welcome.
