Two people are fortunate after a car veered off Old Park Road in early morning hours on February 22nd.

The fire department received a call about it at 1:34 AM on February 22nd. Firefighters from Oswestry and Ellesmere responded, bringing a rescue truck and an officer to the scene.
Upon arrival, crews found both people already out of the vehicle; one had sustained a minor arm injury. Paramedics from West Midlands provided assistance. Following this, firefighters addressed the electric car’s safety.
Securing the car involved disconnecting both batteries: the smaller battery that powers the car’s gadgets and the larger powertrain battery responsible for powering the car’s motor.
The fire station from Ellesmere elaborated, mentioning their attendance at a “Road Traffic Collision” near the Race Course. Because both people managed to self-extricate, the crews deemed them extraordinarily lucky.
