The old 7Bone Burger place is getting a new tenant. 7Bone moved in October 2023. They now operate at Phantom Brewing. The old spot will soon be Dolphin’s Caribbean restaurant.

Randolph Bancroft started the company. He was born in Barbados. He has lived in Reading for many years. Dolphin’s Caribbean Cuisine is at The Atrium Health Club. Bancroft also ran a cafe on Great Knollys Street near Reading Buses.

Dolphin’s can now sell alcohol and host live music. Dance and recorded music are permitted until midnight. The team is working to open the restaurant soon. They are also hiring staff.

Yvette Young speaks for the company. Work is happening quickly, and they want to open ASAP. The restaurant needs staff immediately. Bancroft wants to serve the community.

Branding is in progress. They want a simple, recognizable design and plan to stay open until midnight. Last orders are around 11:30 PM, and they might extend these hours later.

Yvette mentioned their bus driver history, serving drivers breakfast at Great Knollys Street. St Marys Butts has seven bus stops, and they are serving breakfast again. The business has grown a lot.

You can expect dishes like curry and Escovitch fish, along with chicken and goat. Rice, peas, and wings are also planned for the menu.

The restaurant has two floors. They consist of a main dining area on the ground floor and a basement with a bar, hosting sports viewing parties and music.

Bancroft requested permission for activities daily, running from 6 AM to midnight. Reading Borough Council approved his request because no one objected to the application. The consultation ended February 19th.

They can offer live music, play recorded music, and allow dance. They can sell late-night refreshments and offer alcohol.
