A cat in Andover was found with its legs, tail, and ears taped. The RSPCA is investigating after the disturbing incident.

They taped his ears flat against his fur too. His owner, Melissa Brown, noticed the problem. At first, she feared Blu was having a seizure. Melissa saw the tape and quickly removed it.
Blu was thankfully not seriously hurt. He only lost some fur due to the tape. Still, Melissa contacted the RSPCA about it. She worried this attack was part of a pattern.
Leanna Hone, an RSPCA inspector, investigates the incident. She said Blu was very distressed when found. The owner doesn’t know who hurt him. She wants to warn other cat owners.
Last year, Melissa lost three cats in traffic. It happened very close to her house. She thought it was a strange coincidence.
Blu is now afraid to go outside. He used to be friendly with everyone. Melissa is heartbroken that someone did this. Blu seemed to be trying to remove the tape. Losing three cats was already hard.
Melissa also reported this incident to Hampshire Police. If you know anything about it, please call the RSPCA. The number is 0300 123 8018. Mention incident number 01459050.
