Tilly, an adventurous cat, journeyed to London by train unbeknownst to her owner, who had to retrieve her from Waterloo Station.

Tilly is famous locally. She visits pubs and schools daily and once took buses and Ubers. This London trip was her longest, totaling seventeen miles. Michael’s girlfriend, Emma Hill, got a call in November from station staff surprised by Tilly’s trip length.
Michael worked in London that day, then drove to get Tilly. Station staff were also amazed. Tilly took a South Western Railway train all the way to Waterloo. Tilly is like Nala, a station cat.
Michael notes Waterloo is her record, but she could reach Brighton if she took a different train. Tilly used to be a stray cat when two girls brought her to Michael’s door, asking if he knew her owner.
The vet found no microchip, so Michael and Emma adopted Tilly. Soon, she began exploring. She visited Heathrow hotels when they lived there. Michael doesn’t know her history, but she loves solo trips even though cats usually stay closer to home.
Tilly often visits the local pub. She sits with staff behind the bar, even going to the vet alone. She does crazy things constantly, and they’ve even Ubered her home before. Michael got her an Apple Airtag so he can track her location now.
Locals still call about Tilly, worried she may be lost. Michael and Emma used to worry, but now they are used her trips. She meows at the door to leave then she’s gone, he said. They don’t know when she will return.
