The racecourse got approval for 190 new homes. These homes include footpaths and cycle routes, connecting communities to the venue. This is the first step in planned improvements to make it a year-round destination.

The Commercial Director, Nathan Holmes, stated this milestone is significant. Racing remains the core of the racecourse, but they only race about 40 days each year, requiring them to use the venue all 365 days.

Development helps them invest in facilities that benefit both racing and events. This allows continued investment in racing to improve the customer experience and attract new audiences.

Trainers showed interest in on-site yards, creating a training hub outside Newmarket. This hub supports their vision to create a premier racing and entertainment place.

The racecourse is celebrating its tenth anniversary. It provides 54,000 square feet of event space.

They partnered with Moulsham Hall Estates, who will invest £200 million over 15 years. Moulsham Hall Estates will lead development and manage infrastructure planning.

A Moulsham Hall Estates spokesman spoke, emphasizing the racecourse as a valuable leisure asset. Their investment transforms the estate with new hotel and entertainment facilities planned, along with rental development. They can unlock the land’s full potential and deliver necessary infrastructure, supporting entertainment growth and racing.
