Cheshire East seeks public input on its new transport plan to improve connections, grow economy, and reduce pollution.

The transport committee chair spoke about the plan. Cllr. Mark Goldsmith said transport is vital. The council requires a modern transport network, one that links jobs, schools, plus healthcare. A healthier environment is also a priority.
The present plan from 2019 needs changing now. Travel habits have changed quite a bit. The council wants input from residents, having developed a vision, plus some priorities, because residents’ views matter a lot to them.
Cllr. Goldsmith wants residents’ early opinions. Feedback will refine the transport strategy. The goal is to meet local needs best. You can share your thoughts for eight weeks; April 21 is the final day to participate.
The council made a short video about the plan. It explains why your input matters, and you can share feedback on the council website. This is on the Local Transport Plan page.
Paper copies are available for those needing them. Libraries and leisure centers have them available. You can find questionnaires plus brochures there, so everyone can have a voice.
