Chris Beetham is speaking at a new event. It’s called Feel Good Friday, and Alloa’s Speirs Centre hosts it.

Clackmannanshire Council and sportscotland organized the talks. These happen every other Friday to show ways to stay active.

Chris will share his story about how he overcame a broken back sustained in a 2015 rugby accident. Almost ten years later, he became Scotland’s Strongest Man, beating the odds after his injury.

He feels honored to speak first, noting many talented people reside in the area and mentioning local athletes. He hopes his journey inspires others to try sports, particularly strength sports like his.

Chris will talk about his life now, describing his journey from injury to success competing with top sportsmen globally. He competed before 10,000 people recently when he competed as Scotland’s Strongest Man.

He now realizes people limit themselves. He set small goals yearly but lacked true belief for a long time. He never thought he’d be the Strongest Man, but now sits with the world’s strongest, crediting grit and belief for his success.

The first Feel Good Friday is March 7th. Feel Good Friday will be regular and takes place in the Speirs Centre. Future sessions will have yoga and dancing, and speakers will discuss photography and the effect of smoking.

Kite Club Scotland, Wee County Walkers, and Cycling Without Age will also be there. These sessions offer many activity options, allowing people to participate or volunteer, all as part of sport.
