Churston Library has reopened. It feels brighter and greener now. The library closed in January because they needed to replace the heating system. Torbay Council installed an eco-friendly system.

Now the library feels cozy. Staff rearranged things inside and improved the general layout.
You can find more displays there now, as well as crafts for visitors. Free hot drinks are still offered. The library feels bigger but also cozier, with new spaces for free enjoyment.

The team planned new activities and events. Kids can enjoy Stay and Play twice each week. Half-term events also exist for children. Homeschooling library sessions start soon.

The Children’s Gardening Club still runs on Saturdays, and the Lego Club happens every Saturday morning. Adults can find a Community Puzzle.

Board games and events are planned for adults. Coffee and board games happen Fridays, Knit and Chat is every Monday afternoon, and Breath of Joy is Wednesday afternoons. Computer help is available on Mondays and Fridays.

An author event is planned, and a Wild Swimming event will also occur.

The library will house a community quilt; it is the Social Fabric quilt. You can view it during opening hours after locals made this beautiful quilt together.

Joining the library remains free. They welcome new members now, and books and eBooks are available.
