Man admits to crashing stolen car after a police chase near Blackburn. He received a suspended sentence and driving ban.

Alfie McPhearson admitted to several charges, including careless driving and not stopping for police. He also admitted to vehicle theft and drove without insurance and a proper license.
The court gave McPhearson a suspended prison sentence lasting eight weeks, suspended for 14 months. He must also complete 10 days of rehabilitation and was banned from driving for a year. He must pay £250 to the car’s owner.
Prosecutors said police spotted the stolen car in Clitheroe. Later, they found it crashed on Padiham Road. Four men fled, but police caught them all quickly. The car was stolen from a house the day before.
The prosecutor detailed damages, stating the car had £3,000 worth of damage costs.
McPhearson’s lawyer explained he had no burglary involvement. He bought the car cheaply, knowing the price was so low it was wrong, but was unsure where the car came from.
