Shipley, 32, lived in Sunderland. This happened during their two and a half year romance. He controlled almost everything she did, even the kids’ TV shows.
He bullied her kids, especially her autistic daughter. He told her when she could go out and decided who she could see. He insulted her often.
He demanded she remove her contraceptive implant and pressured her to have his baby. She got pregnant, but he forbade breastfeeding, calling it disgusting.
Shipley hit her when she was pregnant. She installed CCTV, which filmed him headbutting her later. The abuse caused her huge emotional damage.
Though he is locked up, he still haunts her. She did not want his child, and he stopped her from feeding her own baby like she wanted.
She said he drained all her money, spending his own money on drugs and gambling. Shipley admitted his controlling behavior and the assault.
He got 34 months in jail. The court also issued a restraining order with no end date.
