Fitton was very jealous and angry, which fuelled his abuse. He hurt her physically and emotionally. Hannah tried to take her own life. After that, she contacted the police, which led to Fitton’s arrest and conviction.
Hannah urges abuse victims to seek help, saying it is hard, but keep going. Help exists if you ask for it. You must be ready to leave for good. Do it for yourself, she emphasized. A police officer praised her bravery.
