Yasir Khan, posing as a car dealer, was caught smuggling gun parts hidden in an old Datsun and jailed for eight years.
He claimed he sold cars, but that was a lie. He hid Glock pistol parts in an old Datsun in Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter. Cops arrested him July 12th last year.
Bodycam footage showed everything. An officer pointed a rifle at Khan and commanded, “Open the door.” They dragged him from the car. Khan had his hands up instantly, then dropped something before being handcuffed.
An officer warned him about tasers and told him, “No sudden moves!” He pleaded guilty in court today. A probe showed his involvement, and he’s now jailed for eight years.
The Datsun was stopped earlier at London Gateway Port. Officers found the hidden gun parts under the windscreen, behind the engine, and in the fuel tank.
His phone had voice notes pointing to a Pakistan supplier. The supplier made gun parts and invited Khan to visit his factory. Khan is suspected of similar smuggling, possibly in November 2023.
He struggled with jamming ammunition, as revealed in voice notes and videos. He bought deactivated guns in 2023 and likely made them lethal again.
Preventing illegal guns is a top priority. The NCA and Border Force stopped him, preventing guns from reaching criminals.
