Devizes roads will be fixed after complaints; council allocates funds, addresses utility work impact, and plans upgrades.

Money got spent on pothole repairs countywide. Some Devizes roads were fixed or will be soon. Windsor Drive will get some attention, too. Holder stated they put £22 million into road fixes. He said this helps Wiltshire’s roads a lot.
They use two Bobcat machines. These machines quickly fix roads and potholes. They fixed nearly 15,000 potholes in a year. They also resurfaced more roads. Council members know roads got worse.
They blame utility work for the road problems. Wessex Water finished a big project in February. It took them a year and a half. Now, the council plans road upgrades for five years around town.
They will resurface roads like New Park Street. London Road and Northgate Street will also get fixed. Holder said utility work stopped some resurfacing. They don’t want to resurface a road just to dig it up again. You can find resurfacing plans on the council website. They update the plans each year.
