The council faces financial issues and foresee a £45 million gap in three years. They will use reserves to balance this year’s budget once, totaling £4.9 million.
The Welsh Government funding is also less. It is £81,000 lower than planned before.
The 2025/26 budget plans for important services. Social care gets £7.9 million, schools are allocated £12.1 million, infrastructure gets £11.2 million, and waste strategy receives £25.1 million.
The cabinet should approve it February 27th. All council members vote and debate the budget later that day.
