Alban Rustemi, 29, of Coventry, sentenced to jail after cocaine discovery in his vehicle during a traffic stop in Stowmarket.

Alban Rustemi, 29, lives on Gosford Street in Coventry. He pleaded guilty beforehand to intent to supply cocaine. The court sentenced him on Monday.
Rustemi got stopped in Stowmarket in September 2024. Police searched his car carefully and found a secret spot in the back with bags of cocaine powder inside.
At first, Rustemi said he was innocent through many court dates. Officers built a solid legal case, using phone data and expert evidence. Then, right before his trial, he admitted guilt.
He received a sentence of 37 months and has to pay £228. The court took his car, phones, and the drugs. They seized everything completely.
PC Harry Tully commented that Rustemi made up stories about why he was in Suffolk and had the drugs. Police built a strong case anyway, with phone data and drug evidence being key, leaving him no choice but to plead guilty.
Police will keep targeting crime throughout Suffolk. They want to put criminals in jail and will work hard to do it.
