Several individuals from Newport, Pontypool, Blaina, and Blackwood have been jailed for crimes including fraud, assault, and drug dealing.

Paginton was jailed for over four years.
Charlie Thacker, 28 and from Newport, filmed himself assaulting a sleeping woman. The victim discovered the iPad footage and was horrified by what she saw. Thacker admitted assault charges and received a nine-year prison sentence.
Matthew Roberts, 35 and from Pontypool, shared awful videos online, sending child abuse material to others. A judge called him a “committed paedophile,” and Roberts got five years in prison. He must register as a sex offender for life.
Liam Cox, 29 and from Blackwood, paid a boy for sex videos. The videos were sent on Snapchat, and he lied to the police earlier on. A jury found him guilty of child sex crimes. He was jailed for over four years.
Jordan Crewe, 27, from Blaina, strangled his girlfriend once and threatened her son in a terrible way. He admitted many domestic violence crimes toward his then girlfriend and was jailed for two years.
Mohammed Abbas, 25 and from Newport, dealt drugs. During a raid at his parents’ home, police found £5,000 in his mother’s purse. He held a key role in a drug ring and conspired to supply crack cocaine. Abbas was jailed for seven and a half years.
