Home builder discusses mud and parking issues near Croxley Green construction site with local councillors.

The project should finish around April 2026. People living nearby aren’t too happy currently, as mud from the site covers the roads and finding parking is also harder.
Local council members visited the site, including Narinder Sian and Chris Mitchell, who are Green Party councillors. Natalie Reed, on Croxley Green Parish Council, also attended. They met with James Lindley from Howarth Contractors and talked about these local problems.
The councillors now say the mud issue is improving, as mud is being cleared more often. Howarth Contractors promised more upkeep and made a contact person for future problems, which should help fix concerns faster.
The parking problem is bigger than just the construction, as builders working on other houses make it worse. Some cars parked there seem untaxed, leading to suspicions that people might be selling them there.
Chris Mitchell said this is good progress and that working together helps. He believes this can reduce problems for everyone and helps manage the building responsibly.
Howarth Contractors said they liked the chance to meet and discussed resident concerns. They also said they didn’t know about these issues before and that the parking problem has another cause, with cars unrelated to their work making it worse. They will keep roads clean during building.
