Keep kids active this half term with sports, swims and gym sessions at Croydon & Merton leisure centers.

Waddon Leisure in Croydon has a full-day club costing £34.95. Kids play games, watch films, and swim. Thornton Heath offers a similar club and also has junior gym time daily, 4pm to 6pm.
They also have adult and kids’ gym at night, along with swimming courses. New Addington has a half-day holiday club, costing £22.50 per child each day, and a swim school teaching beginners and improvers.
Morden Leisure in Merton teaches swimming short courses and has free swimming sessions for kids. Canons Leisure also lets kids swim free sometimes. On Tuesday and Friday, they have soft play, 9am to 2pm, called ‘Toddler’s World’.
These activities keep kids busy during the break, helping them stay fit and have fun with friends. Other options exist across the region. You can find junior football and gymnastics, and there are also football holiday camps.
Lewisham’s ‘Better’ centers offer certain activities, including junior gym, ‘Swim for All,’ and cheap kid swims. Bellingham Leisure has a football camp, while Bellingham and Wavelengths offer soft play areas.
Forest Hill Pools has junior classes daily, offering cardio, strength, and gym sessions. Adults can also use the gym. Charlton Lido in Greenwich has adult and junior gym too. Coldharbour Leisure offers junior football in the evenings.
Sutcliffe Park has ‘Clip and Climb’ events, and gymnastics classes are available for kids four and up. The GLL manages these centers as the ‘Better’ brand. This social enterprise manages centers in Croydon and Lewisham.
