TfL is doing track work and maintenance, causing closures on the Croydon tram system from February 15 to February 23.

TfL needs to do track work and essential maintenance relating to repairs near Tamworth Road, including fixing the road surface. They also plan paving and drainage work at Church Street and Station Road, with additional work on Wellesley Road. Platform work is also scheduled at some stops, affecting Centrale, George Street, and Church Street.
Navid Golshan from TfL said the work helps the trams run well and reduces future closures. He asks people to plan trips ahead.
Specific closures are in place for Saturday, February 15. No trams run between Reeves Corner and Sandilands, impacting the Croydon town center loop, but buses will serve the tram stops allowing passengers to complete their journey. Also, no service runs between Arena and Elmers End. To reach Elmers End, take the 289 bus to Addiscombe or West Croydon, running every 12 to 15 minutes, or walk to Birkbeck or take bus 356. The rest of the tram network works normally.
From Sunday, February 16, to Sunday, February 23, closures continue, with no trams running between Reeves Corner and East Croydon, again impacting the Croydon loop and requiring bus replacement services. Similarly, no service runs between Arena and Elmers End; use the 289 bus to Addiscombe or West Croydon (every 12-15 minutes) or walk/bus 356 to Birkbeck. The rest of the network operates as usual, and roads around the works remain open, though buses on routes 64, 119, 130, 194, 198, 464, and 466 might be busier.
