Cwmbran Town FC gets funding for a new stand. Able receives a grant for roof repairs and solar panels.

The grant helps Able get Welsh Government money. It will match a bid for over £200,000. This money will fix the roof and add solar panels. Batteries are also planned for installation. This cuts Able’s energy bills. It provides green energy for the center too.
Cwmbran Town Football Club also got £10,000. They won the FAW League of Wales first. The football club will use the money. They’ll match funding for a new stand with 100 seats at Cwmbran Stadium.
The stand helps them meet FAW rules. The club needs to meet Tier 3 Licensing rules. These rules allow promotion to the Ardal Leagues.
Chris Morgan chairs Cwmbran Community Council. He said they invest in valuable groups. Able helps residents needing extra support. Solar panels will make Able more resilient. Lower costs are possible thanks to the panels.
Cwmbran Town wants to return to top Welsh football. Their facility benefits the club and the town. It aids all stadium users too.
Sean Wharton is a councillor and ex-footballer. He once managed Cwmbran Town. He’s glad to see the club succeed. They aim high, but stay connected to the town. They are also committed to the town’s infrastructure.
