Fed up with a three-foot-wide pothole, a dad placed fake legs in it as a prank. Locals found it amusing and shared pictures online.

James Coxall is 41. The pothole was on Haverhill Road in Stapleford, Cambridgeshire. The hole was three feet wide and four inches deep. It existed for eight months.
James lives in Castle Camps. He filled jean-clad legs using old rags and his family. His wife is Katrina, and he has three kids.
James said they drove past the pothole. They meant to fix it. He found leftover wood, put jeans on the wood, and used rags to stuff the jeans. They screwed old shoes on top.
His kids biked with him. They put a brick down for support. People found it funny anyway and asked if it was him. People took pictures and posted them online; it’s supposed to be amusing.
James stated potholes are common in the area. The council tried fixing them, but roads still remain in “bad” shape. He wants them to fix potholes better, as repairs don’t seem to last here.
He shared his creation online and got a big response back. He meant it as a joke and received many messages. People there seemed to like the stunt. He says he’s known as a joker.
Someone on Facebook called it “amazingly funny” and suggested he write sitcoms. Another person said it reminded them of a TV show.
Cambridgeshire County Council asks people to report potholes using their online tool.
