Dads Rock, a support service for fathers in Scotland, is expanding and looking for new recruits. Funded by the Scottish Government.

The Scottish Government provides funding from the Whole Family Wellbeing Fund. This has enabled them to hire another Dads Worker, extending help to dads in Irvine and Kilwinning.
Health visitors, family nurses, and midwives can suggest dads to the service. The perinatal wellbeing team also makes referrals. Dads Rock gives dads individual support, which benefits the whole family and improves outcomes for their children.
They offer parenting tips and work to build dads’ confidence. General wellbeing support is available as well.
Dads Rock is planning antenatal classes specifically for expectant fathers, and efforts to launch these classes are currently underway.
In their first year, they assisted over 60 families in the Three Towns area. They delivered over 180 individual support sessions, organized 36 group meetings, and hosted five family fun events.
Dads can attend a weekly group meeting held on Wednesdays at 6:30 pm at Ardeer Neighbourhood Centre in Stevenston. Babies and children are welcome.
Another group meets on Sundays at 10:30 am at Lanfine Community Centre.
These meetings offer time with your baby, a chance to grab a drink, and the opportunity to chat with other dads. Ryan and Billy from Dads Rock are always present to offer support.
