The popular CAMRA Beer Festival is back in Darlington after five years, taking place at Hopetown Museum this weekend.

Remember the Darlington Arts Centre? It closed in 2012. That’s where they used to have the festival. The last festival happened before the pandemic.
It’s been over five years since we had one because the 2020 event got cancelled. But good news! It’s back at the Hopetown Museum, near High Northgate.
The festival is open daily from noon to 10 PM. Craft stalls will be there all day, but the street food arrives at 5 PM.
They will sell many kinds of drinks; think ales, stouts, and pale ales. You can find “nutty nectar,” “skull attack,” and even “kicking donkey”!
They will also have cider if you want something sweet. Apple and chilli, cherry, and “green dragon” are some of the options.
Rugby fans, listen up! They’re showing the Six Nations matches on Saturday. Wales plays Ireland at 2 PM, and England versus Scotland is at 4:45 PM.
There’s a charity quiz on Sunday afternoon, starting at 4:30 PM. Dave from Crafty’s Quiz hosts it.
They chose the Great North Air Ambulance Service as their charity this year, so bring some spare change to donate!
Chris Corr spoke for CAMRA earlier and stated they are excited about holding the festival at Hopetown. They hope many people come to the event.
He also said volunteers help make the festival great. They welcome more volunteers, and you can email contact@darlo.camra.org.uk to volunteer.
