RAC Fuel Watch data showed petrol prices rose. They went up a penny to 136.5p in November. But, prices are mostly steady now, and some prices are even dropping a bit.
You save almost £6 per tank now, which is much more compared to two years ago. Back then, petrol averaged 159.9p and diesel was around 183.9p.
Oakley Service Station has the cheapest petrol. It’s near Darlington, within ten miles, and they sell unleaded petrol for 131.9p per liter.
Petrol costs are holding pretty steady, with the UK average about 140p now. So, the cheapest local petrol is 8.1p cheaper. Confused.com calculated the average.

Oakley Service Station is first at 131.9p, followed by Bradbury Service Station at 132.9p. Forest Park Services is next at 133.7p.
Newton Park Service Station is also listed with a price of 133.9p. Shildon Service Station matches that price, also selling petrol for 133.9p.
Fuel prices rose a little bit, currently 0.3p higher than last week’s prices.
