Police raided a Darlington pub following reports of violence and drug use. Investigation ongoing.

This followed weeks of police planning, with Durham Constabulary calling it Operation Arizona. The drug raid included the fire service from County Durham and Darlington.
The police had a warrant that they executed just after 1 PM. Officers gathered reports from the public first, which identified their concerns.
Search teams checked the pub carefully, and the fire service made safety suggestions. They talked about the building’s safety issues, and police are now doing more investigations.
Chief Inspector Jim O’Connor from Darlington’s neighborhood team said it was a team effort, mentioning officers and staff working together.
He spoke with locals, including business owners, residents, and visitors. He said that this is what people want in Darlington and that police will chase drug dealers.
If you know about drug supply, report it to your local police station. You can also call Crimestoppers anonymously at 0800 555 111.
