David Gardner is Warwickshire Police’s new deputy chief constable, selected by Chief Constable Alex Franklin-Smith.

David used to be an assistant chief constable and started with the force back in 2001. He worked local policing jobs early on, and later, he handled change management and protective services.
David also worked for the Home Office and had a role at the National Crime Agency as well. He knows a lot about firearms and keeping order, having commanded in those areas.
David is happy about his appointment and wants to keep improving the police service. He said Warwickshire Police is a great place to work and is grateful for the opportunity.
Mr. Franklin-Smith is glad David got the role, citing David’s knowledge of Warwickshire, good leadership skills, and honesty. Mr. Franklin-Smith believes David will do great and is excited about the force’s future.
