Police shared some news on Facebook this morning. They said a deer was killed by poachers. It happened on a path near Knottingley and Darrington.

The police post included a picture of the deer. It was lying on the path in a wooded area. They provided a precise location using What3words.

What3words uses three-word codes to identify every three-meter square on Earth. The deer’s location code is sideburns.critic.horseshoe. The deer was found south of this spot, in a small wooded area close to Stapleton.

You can reach it via Bank Wood Road. Several tracks north also lead there. Did you witness anything? Can you help the police investigation?
