Six acre site with approval for UK’s first dementia care village is for sale. Plans include housing, pub, hall and more.

Begbies Traynor appointed receivers in December. Eddisons will now sell the land. It has a house and an old equestrian center. Care (Little Court) Ltd. designed the village. West Suffolk Council approved it last year.
The village is based on a Dutch model. “Hogeweyk” inspired the safe, gated community. The village aims to be inclusive. People live in small groups. Residents do meaningful activities each day. They can walk freely in safety too.
It will include treatment rooms and a pub. A community hall and restaurant are also planned. Residents live in shared apartments. Each apartment has six bedrooms. Staff will live there too. The apartments span five blocks.
Eddisons wants offers for the land by February 28. Mr. Maxwell talked about the “Hogeweyk” concept. It is a village with a town square. Residents live a normal life.
This is a great chance for buyers. Approved plans let them build a unique care home. It’s near Cambridge and London. The house and land can be kept. They can also be sold separately. This depends on plans to expand the village.
