Video shows a Devizes shopkeeper fighting off a robbery attempt, leading to a 6+ year prison sentence for Timothy Cooper.

The 42-year-old man received a prison sentence of six years and three months. Police released video from one robbery attempt.
Cooper entered Estcourt Jewellers on August 24th of last year. He wore a balaclava to hide his face and carried a hidden bread knife.
The jeweler refused to give him money. The shopkeeper charged Cooper with a ring triblet, forcing Cooper to run away empty-handed.
Police Constable Sean Surgey spoke about the case, stating it was a win for the victims and great news for the residents of Devizes.
Surgey described Cooper as very dangerous. He waited until the stores were quiet before demanding money, making the victims believe he had a gun. The victims bravely fought back and refused to give him any money, but this ordeal will affect them for a long time. They can feel better knowing he is in jail.
