Explore sculptures in King’s Lynn by Mark Goldsworthy and Ben Platts-Mills, reflecting on burdens and finding support.

Ben Platts-Mills made another by the river. It’s near Harding’s Pits. A man balances on acrobats there. He even carries a boat on his head! It needs a closer look to understand fully.
These sculptures made me think about burdens. We all carry things besides physical items. Past hurts and regrets are common. Expectations from others weigh us down. We worry about money, health, and loved ones.
Things race in our minds and affect us. These burdens can feel very heavy. You don’t have to carry burdens alone. Sharing a problem can make it lighter.
Talking to friends or family helps. A cup of tea can make it even better! Maybe you need professional help too. A new view offers solutions. Empathy gives us strength to continue.
You can tell God your worries too. God hears us when we pray. Pray aloud or silently in your heart. Writing or lighting a candle can help. Jesus is there and he will carry us. We are not alone in our worries.
Jesus said his burden is light. Burdens are never too much for God.
